2. Delivery & Returns
Please note: Every piece in this gallery is entirely unique and one-of-a-kind. In the event of a return, lost parcel, or damaged goods, a refund will be issued rather than a replacement.
2.1 Delivery
Orders are dispatched within 5–7 business days. All orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked.
Estimated delivery times are in line with Royal Mail’s standard tracked service. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order has been dispatched.
2.2 Returns
If you are not happy with your purchase, I accept returns within 30 days of delivery. To begin a return, please contact me by email in the first instance.
Items must be returned in their original, undamaged, and unblemished condition. Refunds will not be issued for items returned in a damaged or used state. Return postage costs are the buyer’s responsibility, and we recommend using a tracked service — we are unable to issue a refund for items lost in return transit.
Once your return has been received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 5 days back to your original payment method.
2.3 Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me by email within 30 days of delivery with a photograph of the damage. I will arrange a full refund once I have reviewed your message.
2.4 Lost Parcels
If your order has not arrived within the Royal Mail estimated timeframe, please get in touch. Once Royal Mail have confirmed the item is lost, I will arrange a full refund.

3. Safeguarding Policy

As a freelance ceramic artist working with children aged 7-16 in schools and external venues, I am committed to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants. This safeguarding policy outlines my approach to protecting children from harm and promoting their well-being in line with UK safeguarding legislation and best practices.
3.2 Key Principles

- All children have the right to protection from harm, abuse, and neglect.
- Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and I will work in partnership with parents, schools, and other organisations to promote child safety.
- I will act professionally and responsibly at all times, ensuring that safeguarding concerns are taken seriously and acted upon appropriately.
3.3 Roles and Responsibilities
As a sole trader, I take full responsibility for:
- Following safeguarding procedures as outlined in this policy.
- Reporting any concerns regarding a child’s welfare to the appropriate safeguarding lead within a school or organisation, or directly to the relevant authorities if necessary.
- Maintaining a current enhanced DBS certificate.
- Undertaking safeguarding training to stay informed about best practices and legal obligations.
3.4 Code of Conduct
To ensure a safe and professional environment, I will:
- Always act in a professional and appropriate manner when working with children.
- Avoid being alone with a child where possible; sessions should take place in an open, observable space.
- Treat all children with respect and dignity, valuing their individuality.
- Maintain appropriate physical and verbal boundaries.
- Not engage in or tolerate any form of bullying, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior.
- Report any concerns or allegations of abuse in line with safeguarding procedures.
3.5 Reporting Concerns
If I become aware of a safeguarding concern, I will:
- Follow the safeguarding procedures of the school or venue where I am working, reporting to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) immediately.
- If working independently, report concerns to the relevant local authority’s children’s safeguarding team.
- Keep a written record of concerns and actions taken while maintaining confidentiality.
- In an emergency where a child is in immediate danger, contact the police (999) or children’s social care services.
3.6 Data Protection and Confidentiality
- Any personal or sensitive information about children will be handled in accordance with GDPR and data protection laws.
- Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis with appropriate authorities.

4. Code of Conduct
4.1 Introduction
This Code of Conduct sets out the professional standards and expectations for my work as a freelance ceramic artist delivering workshops for participants of all ages including children aged 7-16, in schools and external venues. It ensures a safe, respectful, and creative environment for all participants.
4.2 Professional Conduct
- I will always act professionally, responsibly, and respectfully when working with participants, including children, parents, and staff.
- I will uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and fairness in all interactions.
- I will arrive punctually, prepared, and appropriately dressed for all workshops.
4.3 Child Welfare and Safeguarding
- The welfare of the child and other vulnerable participants is my top priority, and I will ensure that all participants and children feel safe, valued, and respected.
- I will follow all safeguarding procedures, including reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) at the school or venue.
- I will maintain a current enhanced DBS certificate and undertake relevant safeguarding training.
- I will avoid situations where I am alone with a child whenever possible, ensuring activities take place in open, observable spaces.
4.4 Respect and Inclusion
- I will treat all children and participants with respect, regardless of their background, abilities, or beliefs.
- I will create an inclusive and supportive environment where every child and participant can engage fully and express themselves creatively.
- I will not tolerate any form of bullying, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior, and I will take action if such behavior occurs.
4.5 Health and Safety

- I will provide clear instructions on the safe use of tools, equipment, and materials.

- I will not share personal contact details with children or interact with them on social media.
- I will use positive reinforcement and encouragement, avoiding any language or behavior that could be seen as inappropriate or harmful.
4.7 Communication and Confidentiality
- I will communicate openly and professionally with parents, teachers, and staff while respecting confidentiality.
- I will only share personal or sensitive information about a child or vulnerable adult with appropriate authorities if required for safeguarding purposes.
- I will ensure that any photographs or recordings are only taken with explicit permission from parents or guardians and used appropriately.

This Code of Conduct will be reviewed annually or whenever necessary to reflect changes in best practices or legislation.
